“Filmowe Podlasie Atakuje!” (“Podlasie Film Attacks!”) is an annual event popularizing independent cinema associated with the region of north-eastern Poland. The idea was created back in 2003 in the Bialystok Cultural Centre, at Prokopiuk Ireneusz, Januszczyk Rafał and Rant Maciej initiative. As part of this event, moderators are organizing an open film competition, film screenings of works in Poland and abroad (USA, Czech Republic, Lithuania, Latvia, Finland, Iceland, Georgia, Kazakhstan) and workshops for young people (for ęxample in Małoreczensk - Crimea, Bialystok, Supraśl).
